Softball Recap: Battle Creek Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Battle Creek's offense. They came up short against the Lewis County Panthers on Tuesday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Battle Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Lewis County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Battle Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewis County, they will host Summertown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.9, the Eagles 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
