Softball Game Preview: Chartiers Valley Colts vs. East Allegheny Wild Cats

The Chartiers Valley Colts are taking a road trip to challenge the East Allegheny Wild Cats at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chartiers Valley will head out to face East Allegheny after giving up their first home loss of the season on Wednesday. Chartiers Valley lost 11-1 to South Park.

Chartiers Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Duffill, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, East Allegheny came up short against Freeport on Friday, falling 13-3. The Wild Cats have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Sophia Sciulli was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alaysia Smail, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

East Allegheny's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chartiers Valley, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 3-3.
