Baseball Recap: Seven Lakes' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seven Lakes entered their tilt with Jordan on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 on Friday.

James Levin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dario Becerra and Christian Villamizar did most of the damage at the plate: Becerra went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Villamizar scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those three RBI gave Becerra a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Nannini, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Seven Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Jordan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9-1.

Looking ahead, Seven Lakes will take on Paetow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paetow will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Seven Lakes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jordan, they will challenge Katy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katy's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Jordan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
