Softball Recap: Fowler Drops Highest Score of Season Against Tulare Union

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fowler). Everything went their way against the Tulare Union Tribe on Saturday as the Fowler Redcats made off with a 13-0 victory. Give the Redcats' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Andreya Mendoza and Danika Serrano did most of the damage at the plate: Mendoza scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3, while Serrano scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Serrano a new career-high. Mckenzie Monis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Fowler was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matches.

The win got Fowler back to even at 3-3. As for Tulare Union, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Fowler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 victory against Selma on the 11th. As for Tulare Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Liberty on the 8th.
