Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Military Academy Comes Up Short

Valley Forge Military Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 18 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They came up short against the Dock Mennonite Pioneers, falling 16-0. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 16 runs.

As for Dock Mennonite, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs.

For Dock Mennonite's part, they got a massive performance out of Jackson Korne, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was James Steinmetz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Valley Forge Military Academy will face off against rival The Christian Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dock Mennonite is set to challenge their familiar foe Delaware County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
