De Kalb extended their postseason success on Saturday against Harmony. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 11-7. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Kaydee Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addison Starrett was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Mackenzye Carpenter was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
