Baseball Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Upland lost against Los Osos back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Highlanders/Scots fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 2-1. The Highlanders/Scots' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Issac Carlos was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Upland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Nava, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Nick Ramos also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Upland's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Los Osos, they moved to 13-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Upland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
