Volleyball Recap: Columbus Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Bishop Ready

Columbus Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop Ready Silver Knights on Saturday. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Silver Knights when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Columbus Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bishop Ready's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia Dozer, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Columbus Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Franklin Heights on the 18th. As for Bishop Ready, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Grandview Heights on the 19th.
