Basketball Recap: San Mateo Takes Down Wilcox in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and San Mateo had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Wilcox Chargers by a score of 67-55 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the loss, Wilcox still got an impressive performance from Semaj Clark, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Rosa, who had nine points.

San Mateo's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points over those games. As for Wilcox, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-11 record.

Looking ahead, San Mateo will square off against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilcox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
