Soccer Recap: Cathedral City Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Banning, Cathedral City was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Desert Mirage RAMS 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the RAMS two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-0 defeat.

Cathedral City hit Desert Mirage with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nefthali Lopez, Estevan Gavilan, and Angel Gomez.

Cathedral City now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Desert Mirage, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6-3.

Cathedral City will head out on the road to take on Desert Hot Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cathedral City is facing Desert Hot Springs at the right time seeing as Desert Hot Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Desert Mirage, they will welcome Banning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
