Northern Virginia HomeSchool barely beat Covenant Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Centurions put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Centurions, who have now won six matchups in a row dating back to last season.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool never let Covenant Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-8.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool's offense was headlined by Paityne Janda and Mackinley Jones, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Katie Thomas and her 24 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool's record now sits at 5-0. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Northern Virginia HomeSchool will head out on the road to face off against Fairfax HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will host Christ Chapel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
