Volleyball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Florence Gophers + How To Watch

Globe is 1-9 against Florence since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will host the Gophers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Globe took a loss when they played away from home last Sunday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Coolidge 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since October 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, Florence had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Prospectors with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Gophers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10th (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Florence was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-10, 25-7.

Florence's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Globe, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.
