Cape Hatteras Secondary took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Eastern Christian HomeSchool. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hurricanes as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Paizley Schultz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 26 points and five boards. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high. Kyndle Stowe was another key player, earning five points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Camden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-33 loss at the hands of First Flight. The Bruins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Camden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Cape Hatteras Secondary came up short against Camden County when the teams last played back in November, falling 33-23. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
