Basketball Recap: Bellows Falls Takes Down Green Mountain in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bellows Falls walked away with it. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over the Green Mountain Chieftains on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Terriers in their matchups with the Chieftains: they've now won seven in a row.

It was another big night for Abby Nystrom, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Kamel, who earned eight points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

Bellows Falls smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Bellows Falls pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Green Mountain, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
