Softball Recap: Oceanside Beats San Dieguito Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Oceanside came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Seaven Fuimaono was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nayeli Adame, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Oceanside pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oceanside will face off against rival Canyon Crest Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, San Dieguito Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
