Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ashland). They had just enough and edged out the Eagle Point Eagles 9-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzlies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Cobain Taylor was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Ashland's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Eagle Point, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6.
