Preview: Wakpala Sioux vs. Bison Cardinals
The Wakpala Sioux will be playing at home against the Bison Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Thursday, Wakpala didn't have too much trouble with Herreid/Selby on the road as they won 61-47. That's two games straight that Wakpala has won by exactly 14 points.
Meanwhile, even though McIntosh scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Bison still came out on top. Bison managed a 60-56 win over McIntosh.
Rylee Veal was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bison's points. Colt Kopren was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Wakpala's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Bison, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.
Wakpala and Bison were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but Wakpala came up empty-handed after a 56-55 defeat.
