Basketball Recap: Turner County Falls Short of Macon County in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Turner County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Macon County Bulldogs by a score of 60-57 on Tuesday. The Titans were up 32-16 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

It was another big night for Morgan Cochran, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds for Macon County. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cochran has scored at least a third of Macon County's points. Another player making a difference was Kynnedy Thomas, who posted five points and five boards.

Turner County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Macon County, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Turner County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Macon County, they will take on Washington-Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Washington-Wilkes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
