Basketball Recap: St. Helens Takes a Loss

St. Helens and Seaside squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Helens had to settle for second. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seaside Seagulls. The Lions have struggled against the Seagulls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Helens' defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Seaside, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Coming up, St. Helens will face off against Astoria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Helens is facing Astoria at the right time seeing as Astoria is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Seaside, they are taking a road trip to face off against Tillamook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
