Soccer Game Preview: Channelview vs. Westfield

The Channelview Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Westfield Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Channelview's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Channelview fell victim to Lamar and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Texans, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Westfield also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Clear Falls on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Westfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 622nd, while Clear Falls are ranked 70th).

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Channelview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
