Basketball Recap: Texas Institute Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Texas Institute won against Harmony School of Innovation last Thursday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Texas Institute took down the Midessa Warriors 62-48. Given Texas Institute's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while Midessa is ranked 1560th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Texas Institute and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Midessa, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Texas Institute wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-15 victory against IDEA Bluff Springs on the 13th. As for Midessa, they will take on Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
