Valentine waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hyannis Longhorns by a score of 2-0. Valentine was shut out 2-0 the last time they took on Hyannis, so Valentine was just returning the favor.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Valentine took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12.

Mia Sherbeyn paced Valentine's offense, picking up eight kills. Sherbeyn got some help from Devahney Belville and her 17 assists. Danika Janssen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Valentine's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Hyannis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Valentine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hemingford on the 11th. As for Hyannis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Cozad on the 11th.
