Baseball Recap: Central Minnesota Christian Victorious

Central Minnesota Christian took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Renville County West, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bluejays sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Jaguars on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bluejays have posted against the Jaguars since April 11, 2016.

The result came thanks to Wesley Fussy's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. Central Minnesota Christian is 2-1 when Fussy allows three or fewer hits, but 1-4 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Central Minnesota Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games.
