Basketball Recap: Cornwall Central Comes Up Short

Cornwall Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 50-35 bruising from the Warwick Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-30 last Monday.

Cornwall Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Warwick, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornwall Central will welcome Minisink Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.94 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Warwick, they will be playing at home against Valley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
