Basketball Recap: Ahmad Razaqi Key Part of a Team Effort in Chargers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oaks Christian, Agoura was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Thousand Oaks Lancers 60-57. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Agoura's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ahmad Razaqi led the charge by putting up 21 points and three steals. That's the most points Razaqi has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Klopp, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Agoura smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

Agoura's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Thousand Oaks, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Agoura will square off against Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agoura is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season. As for Thousand Oaks, they are taking a road trip to take on Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thousand Oaks is facing Newbury Park at the right time seeing as Newbury Park is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
