Baseball Recap: Lyndhurst Takes a Loss

Lyndhurst was the 10-2 winner over Fair Lawn when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Cutters by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Herman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lyndhurst saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Lemanowicz, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lyndhurst's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Fair Lawn, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyndhurst will welcome Nutley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fair Lawn, they will square off against Lakeland Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
