Softball Recap: Caldwell County Takes a Loss

Caldwell County lost against Union County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Caldwell County fell just short of Union County by a score of 9-8. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harper Holeman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Adley Lewis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Holeman wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Caldwell County lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Caldwell County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Union County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Caldwell County will be playing in front of their home fans against McCracken County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union County, they will venture away from home to take on Owensboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
