Basketball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Southview Cougars

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. The Northview Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Southview Cougars at 7:15 p.m. Northview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Northview is returning to their home court after beating Findlay on theirs, despite the fact Findlay has dominated at home this season. Northview secured a 40-36 W over Findlay on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southview). Everything went their way against Springfield on Saturday as Southview made off with a 62-40 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 14-point performance the contest before.

Northview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Southview, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Everything came up roses for Northview against Southview in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-23 win. In that match, Northview amassed a halftime lead of 41-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
