Recap: Williamsville Bullets vs. Tolono Unity Rockets
If The Williamsville Bullets were riding high off their 51-22 takedown of the Auburn Trojans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The game between Williamsville and Tolono Unity wasn't particularly close, with Williamsville falling 35-21. It was the first time this season that Williamsville let down their fans at home.
Williamsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Braddock Cates, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown. Cates hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Lyttaker, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tolono Unity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dane Eisenmenger, who threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jay Saunders was another key contributor, picking up 117 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Williamsville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Tolono Unity, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Williamsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tolono Unity also has no future games currently scheduled.
