Soccer Recap: Alonso Comes Up Short

Alonso lost against Steinbrenner back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Alonso Ravens came up short against the Steinbrenner Warriors, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Ravens were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Kaleb Crump, who's now up to three this season.

Alonso's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4-2. As for Steinbrenner, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Alonso will head out to challenge King at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. King will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Alonso surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steinbrenner, they will welcome Bloomingdale at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomingdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
