It was a good run, but Madison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Madison may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored ten points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10.

Their offense was headlined by Wedy Atanacio and Salena Duinkerken, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Bella Duinkerken and her six assists. Finally, Sophie Cienfuegos kept Madison's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Madison has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Tekamah-Herman on the 18th. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pender on the 16th.
