Karter Gonzalez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Hesston picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Karter Gonzalez. Gonzalez rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hesston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Gonzalez and Hesston will be playing in front of their home fans against Riley County on Friday.

Wray Made His Presence Known in Haven's 49-7 Victory
Haven found a leader in Nash Wray as the team took down Belle Plaine on Friday. Wray was unstoppable, throwing for 197 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
This season, Wray has thrown 13 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 159.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had seven passing touchdowns.

Halstead Gets a Boost from Creed in 31-13 Win
Halstead found a leader in Braxton Creed as the team took down Ellsworth on Friday. Creed turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Halstead's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Creed and Halstead will square off against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Taye Wilson
Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.
This year, Wilson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 126.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 49.33 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Teron Kraft Leads Hoisington over Lakin
Teron Kraft produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hoisington to the win on Friday. Kraft rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Lakin, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Kraft. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kraft saw the Broncs), he rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
