Preview: Newington Nor'easters vs. RHAM Raptors
After three games on the road, Newington is heading back home. They will take on the RHAM Raptors at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Newington's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups.
Newington pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to Torrington. That's two games in a row now that Newington has lost by exactly a single point.
RHAM suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-40 loss at the hands of East Catholic. RHAM has not had much luck with East Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Newington has fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 4-8. As for RHAM, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Newington beat RHAM 64-57 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Newington have another victory up their sleeve, or will RHAM turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
