Volleyball Recap: Millington Central Comes Up Short

Millington Central lost against St. Mary's Episcopal back in September of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Turkeys. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Episcopal found their leader in sophomore Mamie Bush, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Bush. Penelope Flora also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Millington Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for St. Mary's Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coincidentally, Millington Central and St. Mary's Episcopal will both be playing Arlington the next time they take the court. The Turkeys will head out to face the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
