Softball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

Lancaster lost against Union County back in May of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Lancaster came up short against Union County, falling 12-2. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sheridyn Mickles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Union County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will venture away from home to face off against A.C. Flora at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. A.C. Flora's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Lancaster's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Union County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on April 9.
