Wilber-Clatonia was the 2-1 winner over Sandy Creek when they last played one another on September 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Saturday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Haleah Schuerman paced Wilber-Clatonia's offense, picking up eight kills. Schuerman got some help from Brynn Zajicek and her ten assists. Zajicek also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hadley Jurgens, each putting up two.

Sandy Creek found their leader in freshman Emersyn Pohlmeier, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Wilber-Clatonia's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Sandy Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
