Basketball Recap: Birchwood's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Birchwood entered their game against New Auburn on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Birchwood Bobcats lost 70-49 to the New Auburn Trojans. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Birchwood's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for New Auburn, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Birchwood will head out to challenge Flambeau at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Auburn, they will be playing at home against Clayton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in New Auburn's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
