Baseball Recap: Benjamin's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

The Benjamin Buccaneers came up short against the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack on Monday and fell 9-6.

Drew Buchanan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Johnny Havlicek was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Benjamin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8. As for Schoolhouse Prep, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin will venture away from home to square off against Montverde Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montverde Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Benjamin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on April 1. Schoolhouse Prep is facing Coral Park at the right time seeing as Coral Park is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
