Basketball Recap: Mcintosh's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

McIntosh extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Corey Williams. The McIntosh Demons rang in the new year with a 57-48 victory over the Satsuma Gators on Thursday thanks in part to Williams, who went 11 for 15 on his way to 27 points and eight rebounds. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Horn, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

McIntosh's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Satsuma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

McIntosh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-47 victory against Millry on the 3rd. As for Satsuma, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Michael Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
