Football Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Mt. Zion has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manchester Blue Devils on Friday. The Eagles lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-14 score last time.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Manchester, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Mt. Zion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manchester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.89 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
