Football Game Preview: Pontotoc Warriors vs. Caledonia Cavaliers + How To Watch

The Pontotoc Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Caledonia Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pontotoc has given up an average of 31.2 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pontotoc is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They were outmatched by West Point and fell 50-13. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Green Wave are ranked first).

Caledonia not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 27-6). They blew past Columbus 34-14.

Caledonia's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Things could have been worse for Pontotoc, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-8 loss to Caledonia when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
