Softball Game Preview: Murphysboro Red Devils vs. Centralia Orphans

On Monday, Murphysboro was able to grind out a solid win over DuQuoin, taking the game 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Powell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Centralia's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marion.

Centralia's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Murphysboro, their win bumped their record up to 13-16.
