Basketball Game Preview: Highland Hornets vs. Paint Rock Indians

Having just played yesterday, the Highland Hornets will jump right back in to play the Paint Rock Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Highland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Loraine 67-36 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hornets have posted against the Bulldogs since January 18, 2019.

Meanwhile, Paint Rock came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Trent 46-43.

Paint Rock's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Highland skirted past Paint Rock 41-38 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Paint Rock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
