Soccer Game Preview: Pueblo East vs. Rye

The Pueblo East Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Rye Thunderbolts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rye took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pueblo East, who comes in off a win.

While Pueblo East fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They put the hurt on Sierra with a sharp 9-0 victory on Thursday. It was an even better day for Esperanza Fernandez as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Rye didn't have quite enough to beat Bruce Randolph on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Pueblo East came out on top in a nail-biter against Rye in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pueblo East since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
