Volleyball Recap: South Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Taylor Smith and Keragin Gray

South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Paul Flyers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-16.

South Central's loss came despite strong showings from Keragin Gray and Taylor Smith. Gray had 21 assists and ten digs, while Smith had 18 digs and one assist. Gray has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 20 times she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Bella Guerra, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.
