Baseball Game Preview: Farmville Central Jaguars vs. Rosewood Eagles

The Farmville Central Jaguars are taking a road trip to face off against the Rosewood Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Farmville Central will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating West Craven, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since March 11th.

Farmville Central's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Kessler, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Rosewood waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spartans an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Farmville Central pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Rosewood, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
