Williamsport had already won nine in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Smithsburg Leopards. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Williamsport had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-19.

Skylar Norris paced Williamsport's offense, picking up 13 kills. Norris got some help from Cali McClung and her 17 assists. Leigha Harsh controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Smithsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Williamsport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Brunswick on the 22nd. As for Smithsburg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
