Basketball Recap: Brookfield East Takes a Loss

Brookfield East lost a heartbreaker to West Allis Central when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The Brookfield East Spartans might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 67-65 to the West Allis Central Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Brookfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for West Allis Central, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Brookfield East will host Wauwatosa West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wauwatosa West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Brookfield East likes a good challenge. As for West Allis Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Milwaukee Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Allis Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
