Softball Recap: Goldsboro Takes a Loss

Goldsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the North Johnston Panthers, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Goldsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Johnston, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Goldsboro and North Johnston will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Cougars see the field they'll take on Southern Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for North Johnston, their break will end when they face Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
