Basketball Recap: Seminole's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Seminole saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Lorena Leopards by a score of 43-33. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Leopards are ranked 171st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Lorena, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.

Seminole wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-38 defeat against Sunnyvale on the 28th. Lorena has also already played their next match, a 53-51 loss against Nocona on the 27th.
